ABOUT US

Den of Doods is located in the quaint state of Connecticut, where it's a strange mix of NYC hustle and bustle and quiet forested zen. Den of Doods was created by life time animal lover and professional dog groomer Alyssa, and her twin sister Kate, who worked for holistic Mom and Pop pet shops for most of her life before becoming a dog bather at her sisters shop and falling in love with the doodle and poodle breeds.

After seeing the state of a lot of the doodles coming in to the grooming shop with either poor hair quality, poor temperaments, or both, it was decided that the two sisters could use their knowledge and experience to do better. Both sisters have pursued careers in animal care from very young ages, and between the two of them, have decades of experience. Both are very passionate about health testing, temperaments, and genetics, and are always willing to talk about any of those topics to anyone willing to listen. They pride themselves on offering the support, education, and insight necessary to truly highlight what fantastic dogs doodles really are.

Den of Doods itself consists of Alyssa's personal pack, and it contains all of the programs male stud dogs. They live with her, go to work with her, and enjoy frolicking on her large piece of property in CT. Silver Fern Standards is the other half to Den of Doods, and is Kate's pack, who is also located in CT. Silver Fern owns all the female dams and puppies for the program. They live in the house with her, sleep on her bed and couches, and enjoy being outside in her large yard with a bunch of chewies and puzzle toys.

 Den of Doods is a joint effort with Silver Fern Standards to bring wonderful doodles and doodle puppies to people and families as healthy, well adjusted companions that other people and professionals are happy to meet. Our main focus with both Den of Doods and Silver Fern, is to bring about amazingly sound, happy, and healthy puppies that fit well into a family home. We pride ourselves on our temperaments and we do a wide range of health testing including OFA, CHIC certification, embark and/or pawprint genetics, Pennhip, and routine veterinary screenings.
